THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COMFORTER VS. DUVET

COMFORTER VS. DUVET EXPLAINED
Not sure the difference between a comforter and a duvet? A comforter is a thick blanket-like bedding layer with an insulated filling. A duvet insert is essentially the same as a comforter; however comforters are often available in colors and patterns, while duvet inserts are typically white and are paired with a removable duvet cover. The duvet cover helps protect your comforter or duvet insert and adds beauty to your bed.

WHAT IS A COMFORTER?
It’s a bedding layer that goes on top of your bed, typically filled with down feather clusters of synthetic down alternative fibers to keep you warm. Comforters are designed with quilt patterns to keep the fill from shifting, so warmth is spread evenly throughout. Comforters are often available in colors and patterns to complement your bedroom décor.
All Sleep Number® comforters have corner loops to keep them secure within our exclusive duvet covers.

WHAT IS A DUVET COVER?
It’s a removable cover that protects your comforter or duvet insert. Because it’s easier to wash, it can help extend the life of your comforter, and it adds color and style for a simple way to update the look of your bedroom.
High-quality duvet covers such as ours include corner ties and zippers to keep the comforter fully enclosed and to prevent it from shifting within the duvet cover for comfort and even warmth distribution.
