Part 1- What does it take to feel unstoppable in your day-to-day? Kozette is an everyday woman living life the best way she knows how-- by being active on hikes and enjoying the outdoors. How she prioritizes quality sleep to fuel her days and feel unstoppable. Watch part 1 of her story below.
"When I'm on the trail, I am unstoppable," said Kozette Manning from Utah. "My whole life is unstoppable. I get to wake up every day and think, what do I get to do today? Last year, I completed 200 miles. I was so happy that I decided, this year, I am going to do 300 miles in one calendar year. That means I go hiking at least the minimum 25 miles a month. And right now, I am currently 79 miles into that. I am at 10,242 feet of elevation gain."
Being as active as Kozette is, it's important to rest and recover so she can do what she wants every day. This is where quality sleep supports Kozette big time. Kozette wants adventure in her hikes. If she can climb up it, around it, behind it, and over it, she's happy. But, she can't do that if she's sore or tired. She needs a bed where the firmness can be adjusted whenever she wants, so she loves her Sleep Number 360® smart bed.
"We got the Sleep Number 360 smart bed, because the way I play so hard, I need a bed that is going to be able to adjust," Kozette says. Maybe I don't want my usual softer Sleep Number® setting of 25 that day. Maybe I need something firmer because I fell down and my ankles hurt, or my knees hurt. I can increase the bed's firmness up to medium-firm setting of 50 and not have to worry about losing any quality of sleep. And I know I'm going to be sharp the next day. And if I'm not, I can look back and find out why."
Kozette's able to look back at her insights because of the SleepIQ® insights she gets from her smart bed.
"I monitor my SleepIQ score; the overall point system I get in the morning. If it's as close to 100 [a perfect score] as I can get, I know I'm being able to rejuvenate myself. I can get up the next day and know that I am going to be on it. That I am going to be able to follow that trail, that I am going to be able to push it and know that I have accomplished something. It's just, it's a rush," adds Kozette.
