Part 2- What does it take to feel unstoppable in your day-to-day? Kozette is an everyday woman living life the best way she knows how-- hiking, paddleboarding, and doing yoga with her husband every night before bed. How she prioritizes quality sleep to fuel her days and feel unstoppable. Watch part 2 of Kozette's story below.
"I'm in a very exciting time in my life," said Kozette Manning from Utah. "I am very grateful for everything that I have been given the opportunity to do, because I'm rested. I'm powerful. I'm unstoppable."
When I get my paddle board out and I put it in the lake and it breaks the water and I see the little ripples run, I'm like, I'm going to chase every one of those," said Kozette. "There's no distraction. There's no noise. I call it my little yacht, my SS Kozette," she adds.
As an avid hiker (see part 1 video here), Kozette is able to use the muscles she gets from hiking to paddleboard and stand up longer, and paddle longer.
Kozette shares that as she and her husband have gotten older, they're not quite as limber as they used to be. Something most people can relate to. So every night before bed, they do yoga together, and make sure they're focusing on the quality of their sleep.
"We're able to bond on a different level, because this is our health. Quality sleep is the baseline for going forward," said Kozette.
"We got the Sleep Number 360® smart bed, because the way I play so hard, I need a bed that is going to be able to adjust," Kozette says. Maybe I don't want my usual softer Sleep Number® setting of 25 that day. Maybe I need something firmer because I fell down and my ankles hurt, or my knees hurt. I can increase the bed's firmness up to medium-firm setting of 50 and not have to worry about losing any quality of sleep. And I know I'm going to be sharp the next day. And if I'm not, I can look back and find out why."
Kozette's husband, Jerry, shares, "I see that my wife is happier and healthier. Since we got the Sleep Number 360 smart bed, we're both better sleepers and happier because of it." He describes seeing the brightness and happiness in their life because they're sleeping better.
Kozette and Jerry are able to learn how they're sleeping by looking at the SleepIQ® insights from their smart bed.
"I monitor my SleepIQ score; the overall point system I get in the morning. If it's as close to 100 [a perfect score] as I can get, I know I'm being able to rejuvenate myself. I can get up the next day and know that I am going to be on it. That I am going to be able to follow that trail, that I am going to be able to push it and know that I have accomplished something. It's just, it's a rush," adds Kozette.
